It’s time for another 2020 desktop calendar! For the month of October, I designed my calendar page around the Spooktacular Bash stamp set and coordinating products, featuring my favorite little mummy.
If you’re new to my blog, I design these 4″ x 6″ desktop calendars each month for the following year. That way, by the end of the year, I have 8 sets to give away as Christmas gifts. My family and friends love them.
For the background, I cut up sheets of Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. These calendars are perfectly sized to fit 6 calendars on one sheet of Designer Series Paper. The Whisper White calendar portion measures 3″ x 5″, and I have instructions below to print and cut.
To decorate the calendar, I layered two labels — one from the Ornate Frames Dies that I cut from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and another from the Beautiful Boughs Dies that I cut from Smoky Slate Cardstock. For a little texture, I ran the second label through the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder.
I stamped the mummy with Memento ink on Whisper White Cardstock and colored him with Stampin’ Blends Markers (see colors below.) To fade out the background, I used a Color Lifter Stampin’ Blends Marker.
Finally, I stamped the month with the retired Date It stamp set in Memento ink on Crushed Curry Cardstock and cut it out with an Ornate Frames Die. Since that stamp set is photopolymer, I could bend the stamp to fit the shape of the die!
I created the calendar pages using My Memories Suite software. You can download a printable JPEG HERE. Print the October calendar on Whisper White Cardstock with the smallest margins possible for your printer. The print is colored black. I designed the pages to go all the way to the edges of a standard 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock. Trim as follows:
