Remember the card I created yesterday with the Winter Woods stamp set? Well, I decided I loved it so much, I would use the same basic concept to create a November 2019 desktop calendar page!
I changed the colors to coordinate with a sheet of the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper, and I think it’s one of my favorite calendar pages to date!
I printed the calendar page on Shimmery White Cardstock (see link to JPEG below.) Then, I used Sponge Daubers to add Blackberry Bliss and Petal Pink ink to the top section. I love how the two ink colors blended to create an entirely new brighter pink. Then, I used an Aqua Painter to splatter clear water over the paper, waited 30 seconds, and mopped up the water with a paper towel. This created those great watermarks.
After the paper dried, I rubbed it with an Embossing Buddy, and then stamped and embossed the Winter Woods trees in white.
I love how each page turned out slightly different.
The main panel was so pretty, it didn’t need much in the way of embellishments. I decided to add a single, subtle sprig of Vellum leaves using the In The Woods Framelits Dies. Then, I watercolored a light wash of Petal Pink on Shimmery White Cardstock and stamped the month on top using Blackberry Bliss ink. Finally, I punched out the month with a Classic Label Punch.
(I stamped the month using the retired Date It stamp set, but you could easily substitute any small alphabet stamp set.)
The finished calendar pages measure 4″ x 6″ each.
I created a printable calendar page on My Memories Suite. To download the calendar page JPEG, click HERE. Print the JPEG on 8-1/2″ x 11″ on Shimmery White Cardstock with the smallest margins possible for your printer. The days and numbers are colored Blackberry Bliss. (I used Stampin’ Up!’s Hex Codes to enter the RGB value. You can download that color sheet HERE.) Each sheet will make 4 calendar layers. Trim each one down to 3″ x 5″ as follows:
