Today, I’m sharing a masculine graduation card inspired by my friend, Stesha Bloodhart. I loved her card so much that I thought I would make my own version. It uses a mixture of new and retired products, but it’s just perfect for the situation.
One of my son’s best friends just received his Masters Degree from U.C. Santa Barbara. This card is loosely based on his school colors.
I created the background with three prints from new In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I LOVE this paper so much!!! The textures and colors are just awesome. It’s perfect for masculine cards!!!
The rest of the card includes retired products. I stamped the greeting with the Lined Alphabet stamp set using Stazon ink on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and then watercolored it with Night of Navy, Seaside Spray, and Gray Granite ink. Afterwards, I cut out the letters by hand.
The whole card is wrapped with some Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine and decorated with a Best Dressed Tassel (Pretty Peacock) that I colored with a Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends Marker. (Isn’t that awesome that you can change the color like that?)
