Color Fusers Blog Hop for December 2019

This month, we have a “frosty” color combination that includes Silver, Seaside Spray, and Blueberry Bushel. These cool colors are perfect for holiday cards and winter scenes.

I decided to break out a new stamp set (to me) called Sip Sip Hooray and create a card with festive cheer. This set is great because it coordinates with the Sip & Celebrate Dies to easily cut out all the pieces. (Purchase them together in a bundle for 10% off.) I also used the Cheers Dies, which are a perfect add-on to this bundle.

I embossed most of the stamped images in silver on Shimmery White Cardstock so I could watercolor them. I wanted to get some nice “water” effects on the glass, so it looked like it was filled with something yummy.

For the Stitched Circle Die underneath, I watercolored a light wash with Blueberry Bushel ink and then added splatters using a Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. (Use the cap to flick the brush towards the paper.)

Going with the holiday theme, I used some Beautiful Boughs Dies (cut from Seaside Spray Cardstock and Silver Foil) and decorated with Snowfall Accents Puff Paint, Shimmery Crystal Effects, and Ice Stampin’ Glitter. I love the dimension and sparkle these embellishments add to a card!

Lastly, I frayed some Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon by pulling the silver thread, and used some of the frayed strands to tie a knot.
