Hello! I’m Tami Hewlett from California, U.S.A. and today, I’m sharing my July Artisan Design Team Showcase projects featuring the Sweet As A Peach Bundle. This month’s showcase features loads of amazing, inspirational projects, so be sure to click over to the Stampin’ Up! Facebook page and check them all out!
This bundle includes the Sweet As A Peach photopolymer stamps and Peach Dies for 10% off. Both the stamps and dies include lots of layering pieces for loads of possibilities. I particularly love this style of stamp, with its variegation in color. They are great for fancy techniques OR simple stamping like I did here.
Happy Birthday Card:
For both my projects, I decided to change up the colors from the traditional suite of products in the Annual Catalog. I used a color combination of Night of Navy, Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake/Kraft, and Rose Gold. I also paired the bundle with my favorite In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I particularly love how elegant Blushing Bride looks with the new Rose Gold Glimmer Paper!!!
To create the flowers, I simply stamped with Blushing Bride ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the small flower to stamp the centers with the same color. Tip: For this type of stamp, I get the best results when I use a Bone Folder or the rounded portion of a plastic spoon to push the ink away from the center of my ink pad, prior to inking up my stamp.
Next, I stamped the leaves with both Night of Navy and White Craft ink on Night of Navy Cardstock and cut them out with the coordinating die. Tip: White craft ink takes longer to dry, so set it aside for a bit while you work on other sections of your card.
After tearing the background paper, I stamped the small flowers with Night of Navy and flicked splatter using the cap and brush of a Stampin’ Write Marker. I also used a trimmed down Ornate Layers die-cut on the top portion of the card.
For the sentiment, I trimmed the strips with a Banners Pick A Punch to finish the ends.
I cut the small branches and flower accents from Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. It’s sooo pretty in real life! You’ve GOT to try it!
As a final touch, I added some From My Heart Faceted Gems to my card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, picking out the pink and white colored ones.
Have A Peachy Day Scalloped Kraft Treat Box:
My next project is a Scalloped Kraft Treat Box. These sweet little gift boxes are super easy to assemble and look beautiful with their gold foil dots. The edge of the lid has a pretty scalloped edge.
I started by creating a belly band with In Good Taste DSP, layered over a folded Ornate Layers die-cut. The Ornate Layers die-cut simply lays on top of the lid for a little extra color. To create belly bands, I cut a narrow strip and then finger folded it around the box. When it’s not long enough, as in this case, I use an extra piece on the bottom to splice the ends together. I also suggest using a very strong adhesive, such as Stampin’ Seal+.
Next, I cut a Tasteful Labels die from Basic White Cardstock and splattered it with a Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker and then layered the Sweet As a Peach elements on top, similar to my first card.
To create the bow, I cut four strips of Flowers For Every Season Ribbon measuring 4″, 6″, and (2x) 8″. Then, I used a Blending Brush to color the lower edge of the ribbon with Night of Navy ink (both front and back.) Next, I used Mini Glue Dots to form the 4″, 6″, and (1) 8″ strips into loops that sat on top of each other. Finally, I attached my “loopy bow” to the last 8″ strip and to the box and trimmed the ends. As a final touch, I adhered several die cut flowers to the center.
Hope these projects inspire you. The Sweet As A Peach Bundle is a beautiful, versatile set.
Have a wonderful and creative day!
