Artisan Design Team — Lovely & Lasting Bundle

By | July 23, 2022

Hello and welcome. I’m Tami Hewlett from California, USA, and today I’m sharing projects I designed for the July Artisan Design Team Showcase featuring the Lovely & Lasting Bundle. This bundle includes images with big, beautiful flowers, as well as a great coordinating punch.

Be sure to check out the Stampin’ Up! Facebook page to see all the Artisans’ projects featuring this awesome bundle.

The Lovely & Lasting Bundle includes the Lovely & Lasting Photopolymer Stamp Set and coordinating Lasting Label Punch. I particularly love all the little detailed stamps that I can use to decorate and embellish the label.

Happy Birthday Card:

For my first card, I paired the Lovely & Lasting stamp set with the Tea Boutique Cards & Envelopes. I love the bright colors of these card bases and beautiful printed envelopes! I took inspiration from the color combination and then used the Deckled Rectangle Dies to cut a layer from one of the Parakeet Party card bases and some 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper.

To create my multi-colored flowers, I inked up the stamp with Petal Pink and then added Sweet Sorbet ink with a Sponge Dauber. Next, I lightly spritzed the stamp and stamped on Shimmery White Cardstock. I stamped the flowers two times, so I could cut them out and layer them for a 3D look.

Afterwards, I stamped the leaves with Parakeet Party and Garden Green ink (again using a Sponge Dauber to add a second color of ink.) Then, I lightly blended the image with a Water Painter.

When I’m designing projects for the Artisan Design Team, I always try to come up with an idea that’s “out-of-the-box.” This month, I created 3-D flower centers with ribbon. I started by folding and adhering Metallic Woven Ribbon to Mini Glue Dots. When I ran out of “sticky” on the glue dot, I simply added another glue dot on top and continued folding the ribbon. Then, I pinched and shaped the flower centers and adhered them to my card.

The label is a key part of this bundle. I used several of the stamps to add tone-on-tone elements to my Sweet Sorbet label. Then, I embossed the sentiment in White. After punching out the label, I layered it over two Petal Pink labels. The final touch was to add a bow tied with more Sweet Sorbet 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon and some 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine.

Thinking of You Slimline Card:

My next card is similar, but with different colors and elongated into a slimline style. This time, I fussy cut the flowers and leaves so I could layer them over Orchid Oasis 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper. This style of card also gave me extra room for more layers.

To create the flowers, I inked up the stamp with Fresh Freesia and added Orchid Oasis ink to the centers before spritzing and stamping on Shimmery White. I also used some Craft White ink to add flowers to the label.

My favorite part of this card is the design below the label, that I stamped over a watercolor wash of Fresh Freesia and Orchid Oasis ink. I used my Stamparatus to set up the “tile” looking stamp and used a hinge-step technique to stamp the image multiple times with Starry Sky ink. This technique aligns the stamp perfectly to create a beautiful panel!

I also used 2022-2024 In Color Designer Series Paper and Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to embellish the card.

I hope these projects have inspired you to give this bundle a try. It’s super fun to use and has great options.

Have a wonderful and creative day!
