Hello, I’m Tami Hewlett from California, USA, and I’m excited to announce a new promotion from Stampin’ Up! From July 1 to August 2, 2021, select designer series papers (DSP) will be on sale for 15% off! To kick things off, the Artisan Design Team is showcasing different papers included in the promotion. My project is a scrapbook page created with the Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper. To see what my Artisan pals are making with their selected designer papers, check out the #artisandesignteam hashtag on both Facebook and Instagram.
The Artisan Design Team was tasked with showing unique ways to use the DSP, for example with stamp sets outside the suites or different types of projects. You can see below that this pack of DSP typically coordinates with the Plentiful Plants Photopolymer Stamp Set and Plentiful Plants Dies. It also includes lots of greenery. But, if you look at the backside of all the prints, there are gorgeous neutrals, bricks, and wood prints!!!
I made this scrapbook page to celebrate my daughter’s graduation from Loyola Marymount University last year. 2020 was such a tumultuous year to graduate!!! We did everything possible to celebrate with her at the time, but of course the global pandemic meant she had no ceremony and a rough start to the beginning of her career. The good news is that on July 31, 2021, she will have her official delayed ceremony! And we plan to CELEBRATE!!! I thought a special scrapbook page would be a great way to commemorate this momentous occasion. We are so proud of her!!!
I think I used almost every sheet of Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP on this page. I particularly love how well the color of the brick print coordinated with the building in the photo.
Using varying widths of DSP strips, I cut the ends with a Basic Borders Die so they were shaped similar to her graduation sash. Then, I used a Sponge Dauber and Gray Granite ink to darken the edges and make them stand out against the similarly colored background.
I also ripped long strips of the DSP to add to both the top and bottom of the page.
For the titles, I used the Celebrate With Friends stamp set and Playful Alphabet Dies.
I love lots of layers on scrapbooks, so for variety, I added a couple Paper Lattice embellishments behind the photo. Then, I finished off the page with few Penned Flowers die-cuts from Basic White Cardstock and Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems.
