Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! So today I have a quick post to share a gift box I made for my amazing husband. Since he’s so amazing, I just had to pick the Amazing Silhouette Stamp Set to decorate the box. This stamp set is great for masculine projects.
The box is filled with Dove chocolates (one of his favorites) and to me, this is a much more meaningful gift than a box of chocolates purchased at the store. It’s customized exactly for him.
I used a Kraft Gift Box and filled it with almost an entire bag of chocolates. (Oh darn, it was just a tad too full so I was forced to eat a few. :))
Since my husband loves the outdoors and nature, the Amazing Silhouettes Stamp Set is a perfect choice. It’s also great for fun techniques. I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color directly onto the red rubber stamp, and then lightly spritzed the stamp prior to stamping on Shimmery White Cardstock. The results are AMAZING (there’s a theme here) … it looks watercolored.
I chose colors that would coordinate with the chocolate wrappers, including Merry Merlot, Blushing Bride and Gray Granite.
Then, I used some Heart & Home Designer Series Paper for the belly band. Did you notice that the back side of several of those sheets is colored Basic Gray and White? They’re perfect for masculine projects, which is surprising, because I think most people would initially see all the flowers on the reverse side and think it’s totally feminine.
Next, I added a couple Beautiful Trees die-cuts in coordinating colors.
Finally, I added a sentiment from Happy & Heartfelt embossed in white on Merry Merlot Cardstock and cut out with a Bouquet of Love heart die-cut.
Since my box was jammed with chocolates, I decided to add some Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon to keep it securely closed. That way, no sneaking any chocolates before Valentine’s Day too! 🙂
Hope you have a wonderful and creative day!
