7 Days of Scrapbooking – Day Four.
My page today features some of my favorite photos of my son Samuel and his finance, Josie. (They are newly engaged!) These beautiful photos were taken by Heather Jean Photography back when he graduated from CSU East Bay in 2017.
I love the Artfully Layered Bundle and coordinating products from the Artfully Composed Suite in the JJ Mini Catalog. Sadly, these products are retiring at the end of this month, but creating this page gave me a great excuse to use them again!
I particularly love the big tropical leaf stamp and die-cuts. For the big leaf stamp, I inked it up with Granny Apple Green and then used a Sponge Dauber to add Evening Evergreen ink directly to the stamp. Next, I spritzed the stamp with water and stamped on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. After it dried, I used an Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Write Marker to add splatter.
I also cut some of the leaf die-cuts from Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and watercolored them with Just Jade and Parakeet Party ink.
For the title of my page, I found the perfect sentiment in the Peaceful Moments stamp set. I embossed it in white and then used one of the Tropical Layers leaf die to cut it out. Doesn’t the shape of the leaf look like a heart?
One of my favorite things about the Tropical Layers Dies are the fun texture pieces, one of which I used in the background on the Basic White layer on the bottom of my page.
The final touch was to add a few of the new 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds.
