7 Days of Christmas — Framed Florets Dies

7 Days of Christmas : Day Three

My Artisan alumni friends and I are kick starting our holiday crafting with seven days of inspiration on Instagram. To see the daily projects, go to Instagram and search for #sevendaysofchristmas.

My third project features the Framed Florets Dies (an early release product from the upcoming January-June Mini Catalog available to purchase now) and Rings of Love Designer Series Paper (DSP), a Sale-A-Bration product available earlier this year.

There isn’t much stamping on this card. All I did was emboss the sentiment in gold with the coordinating Ringed With Nature stamp set. The rest of the card is just cut from the Rings of Love DSP. I cut out the house, trees, and bushes from one printed sheet and the background trees from another. Then, I simply added a little bit of shading with a Blending Brush and Night of Navy ink.

To me, the prettiest part of this card are the die-cut frames. I love the oval shapes and especially the heart cut-outs that bring such warmth to this card.

For some depth, I cut out three oval frames and layered them together with liquid glue.

I selected colors that coordinated with the DSP, including a Mint Macaron card base, Petal Pink for the sentiment, and an Evening Evergreen strip under the sentiment. Then, I added a Parakeet Party bow. I love this combination!
