7 Days of Christmas : Day One
My Artisan alumni friends and I are kick starting our holiday crafting with seven days of inspiration on Instagram. To see the daily projects, go to Instagram and search for #sevendaysofchristmas.
My first project features the Cottage Wreaths Bundle, one of my favorites! It’s fairly simple but great for making multiples.
In the background, I layered strips of Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper over a layer of Mint Macaron Cardstock dry embossed with the Gingham 3D Embossing Folder. The strips measure 3/4″ wide and are randomly adhered. I have to admit that I was initially on the fence about purchasing this designer series paper, but I’m so glad I did! It’s a HUGE pack of 12″ x 12″ paper in gorgeous colors.
I cut two wreaths, I from Evening Evergreen Glimmer Specialty Paper and one from Shimmery White Cardstock, which I lightly watercolored with Mint Macaron ink. Then, I cut the sprigs from Garden Green Cardstock and fussy cut the berries from Rings of Love Designer Series Paper. This paper was offered during Sale-A-Bration earlier this year and I love it!
To finish the card, I added a bow tied with Real Red Ribbon (cut in half lengthwise) and some For Everything Fancy Sequins. (Opps, I forgot to let the glue dry before I took photos!!!)
I stamped the Cottage Wreaths sentiment with Real Red ink on Basic White and cut it out with the Stylish Shapes Dies.
