If you’ve been following my blog over the past year, I’ve been designing 2019 desktop calendars each month to give out as Christmas presents. I do this every year for family and friends, and they really love them. Each calendar page measures 4″ x 6′ and fits in a standard frame.
I actually finished all the pages in October this year, so all I needed to do was wrap them up for Christmas. I have to admit that I was pressed for time, so I designed something fairly simple. Nonetheless, I wanted to share what I did.

I placed all 12 of the completed calendar pages in a 6″ x 8″ cellophane bag. Then, I cut a piece of Frosted Floral DSP to slip in the front and decorate.

I used another sheet of Frosted Floral DSP to cut a Stitched Rectangle die cut (available to order on January 3, 2019 from the new Occasions catalog). Then, it was a simple matter of layering a banner underneath and some Large Letters die cuts on top.
To close the cello bags, I used Pick A Pattern Washi Tape and added a small punch with the receipient’s name.

Most of the recipients have received these calendars before and already have frames, but for one I also added an acrylic frame and a larger cello bag tied with some Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon. Voila!

I will post new ideas for a 2020 desktop calendar starting in January (or February) of next year!
Have a great day!
