#TGIFC572 — Sketch Challenge with Fern & Flora Bundle

Welcome to a new TGIF Sketch Challenge! Sketches are always a great way to start a project. Just pick a favorite or in this case new product and fill in the spaces. Today, I’m showing a preview of a bunch of new products from the Moonlit Flora Suite Collection – #167749 of the May-August 2026 Catalog. All these items will be available to purchase on May 5th. They include the Fern & Flora Bundle (photopolymer stamps and coordinating dies) – #167745, Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper – #167737, and Dewdrops Embellishments – #167748.

This is a special card that I made for my daughter’s birthday. I know she loves plants and the color green. She also loves elegant images, so this suite of products ticks all the boxes.

My card includes several fun techniques. First, I stamped the big fern with Peaceful Pine ink (a new 2026-2028 In Color) on Peaceful Pine Cardstock and then colored the leaves with a White Gel Pen. Yes, White Gel Pens are back in the upcoming catalog and I LOVE them. I felt like I had lots of control to color inside the delicate little spaces. Also, the ink flows nice and even. And, the pens come in a two pack!

I cut some of the die-cuts from Old Olive Cardstock and used a Blending Brush to add Mossy Meadow ink. For the top die-cuts, I pre-painted Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper randomly with Old Olive, Peaceful Pine, and Secret Sea ink. After the paper dried, I used it to die-cut.

For the flowers, I cut small strips of Fluid Watercolor Paper and used the die to approximate where to pre-paint the Berry Burst centers. As long as I was fairly close, it turned out super pretty.

You may ask why I pre-paint the watercolor paper and let it dry before die-cutting. This ensures the embossed lines from the die-cutting process remain distinct. If they become wet, they flatten and don’t look as good.

There are a few more cool new products shown on this card: I added some Secret Sea borders using the Bordered In Beauty Dies. I also added sentiments on the front and inside from the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set.

This suite of products is so beautiful. I can’t wait to use it again. I have grand plans to create some scrapbook pages in the future!
