#TGIFC564 — Sketch Challenge with Nature’s Symphony

By | February 13, 2026

Hello Friends and welcome to a new TGIF Challenge. This week, we have a sketch challenge. I decided to create a Valentine card for my husband using the Nature’s Symphony Bundle. I really love that bundle!!! It’s beautiful for both masculine and feminine cards. For this one, I chose a non-traditional color combo to make it more masculine.

I love the way the sketch centers the focus of attention on the strip in the center of the card. So I kept the rest of the card fairly simple. All I added was some Secret Sea splatter and a little texture with the dotted die. To make the dots show a little more, I layered a sheet of Secret Sea under the Basic White layer.

This card is actually super simple to make because the leaf dies are cut from the Nature’s Walk Designer Series Paper. No coloring or even ink blending needed. That paper is so beautiful, it shines all by itself! There are two full leaf die-cuts glued on the central layer and then a smaller leaf die-cut that I cut down and raised on Dimensionals.

After heat embossing the sentiment in white, I cut it out with a Stylish Shapes Die. The die wasn’t quite long enough to accommodate the entire sentiment, so I used a partial die-cutting method to lengthen it. I aligned one side and then placed the top plate of my die-cutting machine so it only covered the portion of the die I wanted to cut. After the first pass, I realigned the die and used the same method to cut the rest of the banner.

On the inside of the card, I used the Hearts of Elegance Bundle to die-cut the heart from Nature Walk Designer Series Paper and then used the coordinating Hearts of Elegance Stamp Set to heat emboss the sentiment in white.
