#TGIFC562 – Valentine Challenge

By | January 30, 2026

It’s Friday, and that means one more TGIF Challenge for this month. This week, the designers are all creating Valentine-themed projects. I decided to make a decorative box of candies for my husband combining some new and old favorite products.

I have a variety of ready to make Stampin’ Up! gift boxes in my stash, so I pulled out a retired Mini Paper Pumpkin Box. It holds almost a whole package of chocolates, so it was perfect! To start, I used Blending Brushes to add Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushes ink to the box. I did this before assembling the box to ensure the ink blending was smooth. Then after assembling the box, I touched up some of the folds with the Blending Brushes as well.

I pulled out my retired Hearts of Elegance Bundle for the heart die-cuts and sentiment. The large heart is cut from Night of Navy Cardstock. Then, I added leaf die-cuts using the current Nature’s Symphony Dies and Nature Walk Designer Series Paper. I LOVE how beautiful those leaves look by simply cutting them from the multi-colored paper. The dark leaf is cut from the back side of the same sheet. I also cut apart the leaf die-cuts so they would wrap around my heart shape.

I stamped the sentiment and texture on the heart with Secret Sea ink and then added some white Frosted Iridescent Dots and Balmy Blue Sheer Ribbon. I also added some tiny Basic White hearts punched out using the Bee Builder Punch.

Here’s the inside. I did line the bottom of the box with the same Nature Walk Designer Series Paper as the leaf die-cuts. There’s just so many chocolates, you can’t see!
