#TGIFC560 – Inspiration Challenge with Gallery Blooms

By | January 16, 2026

Hello and Happy Friday! For this week’s TGIF Challenge, we have the inspiration photo below. I absolutely LOVE the soft colors of the cake and elegant, intricate details of the cake stand. I looked through my stash and decided to use the Gallery Blooms Bundle as well as some ink blending to mimic the gorgeous coloring of the cake.

On the right side of the background, I blended Flirty Flamingo ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock. Afterwards, I dry embossed the layer with the Damask Designs Embossing Folder for an antique vibe.

On the left side of the background, I used the coordinating Beautiful Motifs Dies to create some tone-on-tone relief and a similar antique vibe. I love how these dies produce only partial cuts. To make them stand out a little more, I rolled up glue dots and placed them under some of the areas that I wanted to pop up.

For the flowers, I wanted them to look soft and natural. So instead of stamping them in black, I decided to stamp with two colors. On one, I used Flirty Flamingo and Mossy Meadow ink and on the other, I used Calypso Coral and Mossy Meadow ink. To accomplish this, I used the corner of my stamp pad to only ink up the areas of the stamp I wanted. Then, I used Sponge Daubers to fine tune the transition areas. After stamping the flowers on Very Vanilla Cardstock, I colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers. I used the light Flirty Flamingo and Calypso Coral markers, as well as Old Olive and Lemon Lolly markers for the leaves and centers respectively.

I cut the Unbounded Love labels from Basic Beige Cardstock and stamped the sentiments with Crumb Cake ink. Then, I added some Linen Thread and Antique Pearls.

I hope this card inspired you. What do you see in the inspiration photo above? If you’d like to join the TGIF Challenge this week, click over to the blog. You can enter at the bottom and see what the other designers’ created.
