#TGIFC552 – Inspiration Challenge with Gathering Moments

Welcome to a new TGIF Challenge! This week, we have an inspiration challenge using the photo below. It includes lots of Fall elements such as leaves, worn wood, and warm, cozy colors. For my project, I decided to use the Gathering Moments Bundle to create an anniversary card for my son and daughter-in-law.

I love the Gathering Together Designer Series Paper (DSP), especially the pattern in the center of this card. So I used the subtle warm colors as inspiration for this card including Basic Beige, Basic White, Crushed Curry, and champagne. I also added a little Crumb Cake for a few of the leaves. I used Sponge Daubers to add multiple colors directly to the stamps before stamping the leaves on Basic White Cardstock.

In the background, I used a Large Gold Hoop to create a wreath. To adhere it, I placed it upside down on my work surface, added a small amount of liquid glue to the backside and let it dry. That way, none of the liquid oozed out when I placed it on my card.

I also dry embossed the background layer with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder. After roughing up the edges, I added Crumb Cake splatter with a Stampin’ Blend Marker and then ripped strips of Gathering Together DSP and Country Woods DSP.

The Happy Anniversary sentiment is from the Layers Of Beauty stamp set and heat embossed on a sheet of champagne foil that I had in my stash that seemed to match the leaves in the Gathering Moments DSP. I die-cut it with the Traditional Labels Dies.

To finish the card, I added some Basic Beige Classic Ribbon that I cut in half lengthwise and some Basic Beige Neutral Dots. Then, I added a sentiment on the inside from the Light & Wonder stamp set.
