Welcome to a new TGIF Challenge! This week, our challenge is to use white gel pens to highlight our stamped images. I have to admit that my white gel pen was old and dried out, so I had to improvise! But, I figured out another way to get the same effects with current products!
Simply place a drop of Craft White ink refill on an acrylic block and use a Blender Pen to grab a little ink and draw to your heart’s content!

I used the Charming Day Bundle to stamp and emboss my flowers and leaves in white on Basic White Thick Cardstock. I’ve found that Basic White Thick Cardstock withstands watercoloring much better than regular Basic White!
Next, I watercolored the flowers and leaves with Strawberry Slush, Pretty In Pink, and Granny Apple Green ink.

Once the ink dried, I used the Blender Pen to add the white detail. It was fun! I felt like I had a lot more control with the Craft White Ink and Blender Pen.
In the background, I covered the layer with Basic White die-cuts and trimmed flush with the edges. I also used some Granny Apple Green Two-Tone Cardstock that I blended with Granny Apple Green ink and finally added some Pretty In Pink Gems.

Be sure to check out the TGIF Challenges Blog to see the other designers’ projects and then enter our challenge at the bottom of that post.
