Hello and welcome to a new TGIF Challenge. This week, we have the photo below for inspiration. You could use the colors, shapes, or even the suite for inspiration.
I love the happy colors of the Floral Delight Suite Collection (you can find it in the JA Mini Catalog pages 33-37), so this was the perfect opportunity to break out all the products and play!
I particularly love the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper (DSP.) It includes beautiful florals, so I simply found a couple large flowers and a sprig that I thought were beautiful and fussy cut them right out of the paper. Then, I layered more of the DSP in the background with a ripped edge on the right.
You also might notice a new product in the background. I used the #165559 Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder to dry emboss some Basic White Cardstock. It’s an Online Exclusive coming out in March,
I felt like my card needed some leaf die-cuts, so I found the Stippled Roses Dies in my stash that seemed to match the leaf style in the DSP.
The Delightful Wishes Bundle includes the big “wishes” dies. Big sentiments are very popular right now. When using the word die-cut, I suggest backing the cardstock with an adhesive sheet prior to die-cutting. Also, use a Take-Your-Pick Tool to remove the adhesive from the back of the dots for the “i’s” before removing them from the die. That way, you can easily pick up the dot and adhere it to the shadow die-cut.
The final touch was a few of the darling Tiny Bee Trinkets!
