Happy Friday! For this week’s TGIF Challenge, we are focusing on Sale-A-Bration products. There are so many great ones to choose from! You can earn free products through the end of February when you make qualifying purchases or host a qualifying workshop. (There’s also great deals for joining Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator.) For my projects, I used the Scenic Garden Stamp Set. You can earn this set for free when you host a qualifying workshop with total sales of $300 USD or more before 2/28/23. It has beautiful line art that’s perfect for coloring with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I made two cards layering the Scenic Garden images over Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper. This is another Sale-A-Bration product that you can earn for free with a qualifying purchase of $50 USD through the end of this month. I love it!

I stamped the images with Memento Ink on Basic White Cardstock and then sat back, relaxed, and colored away. I love mixing not only the light and dark markers of each color, but mixing different colors as well. It’s like painting. For example, I used both Tahitian Tide and Balmy Blue to create the background sky. The trick is to color in small sections. I started with a Light Tahitian Tide marker and then used a Light Balmy Blue marker to blend out to white. Color over the darker color to reactivate the ink and improve blending.

For the grass and shadow under the bench, I used lots of different shades of green, including Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, and Granny Apple Green. I even used a little Tahitian Tide, because the sky is frequently reflected in other objects.

Another trick is to use the nib or small tip end of the markers to create fine detail in the grass. Then, use lighter colors to blend. Also, when coloring items such as the bench, leave lighter areas white and then use a Color Lifter marker to blend.

Finally, for a little depth, I colored two sets of tall flowers and cut them out to layer with Dimensionals. Then, I added some Brushed Brass Butterflies.

For this next image, I interpreted the image as stacked pots. I think you could also interpret it as a cake. What do you think?

I used Gray Granite markers to color the pots and colored the background similar to the first card.

For the flowers, I used lots of bright colors and multiple greens, as listed below.
