#TGIFC396 — Inspiration Challenge

By | November 25, 2022

Happy Friday! For this week’s TGIF Challenge, we have the inspiration picture below. Isn’t it pretty? I love the colors, wood in the background, and delicate white details. In fact, I love it so much that I tried to incorporate all those elements into my project.

My card features the Regal Reindeer bundle. It’s got beautiful images and I particularly love the two die-cuts of the reindeer and fox used on this card. I cut both out of Early Espresso Cardstock and then used a masking technique to cover the legs of the animals, so I could add the white details on their bodies similar to the inspiration picture.

I used the Regal Reindeer stamp set to stamp and emboss the sentiment and background trees in white. Then, I used a Chalk Marker to color the trees white.

To add stamped detail to the fox and reindeer, I used the Christmas Lights stamp set.

I really loved the wood texture in the inspiration picture, so I decided to dig out some retired In Good Taste DSP. It was one of my favorite DSP packs! I used it for both of the Deckled Rectangle layers in the background.

Then, to bring in the subtle circle elements from the inspiration picture, I used a Labels Aglow Die.

Another thing I really loved about the inspiration picture was the soft green foliage over the reindeer, with hints of white. I used the Decorated Pines Dies to cut pine boughs from Basic White Cardstock and then colored them with Soft Succulent and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends markers. Afterwards, I used the same dies to cut out the white stars for highlights.

I hope you’re as inspired as I was by the inspiration picture. I can’t wait to see how you interpret it. Click over to the TGIF Challenges Blog to check out the other designers’ projects, and then use the Linky Tool at the bottom of that post to add your projects!

This is soooo pretty! I love the little details, especially the white stamping on the animals! Your creation is just lovely!
I believe that the Linky is broken on the challenge, though! (Or maybe it’s just me!) Have a blessed weekend!
