#TGIFC356 — SAB Island Vibes

For this week’s TGIF Challenge, our theme is Sale-A-Bration. I love Sale-A-Bration because, it’s when you can earn free items with each qualifying purchase of $50 or $100 USD. It goes through the end of this month and there are so many great choices.

Two of my favorite Sale-A-Bration products are the Island Vibes and Special Moments stamp sets. I love anything tropical and adore stamp set with lots of versatile sentiments.

I had lots of fun combining elements from these two stamp sets with a few other items to make this card. I added Palms and Stitched Rectangle die-cuts and a dry embossed background using the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder. I’m so happy with the results!

To stamp the main leaf image from Island Vibes, I used a Stamparatus, Blending Brushes, and two colors of ink (Granny Apple Green and Garden Green) for added depth and variation. After setting up the stamp in the Stamparatus, I added ink directly to the stamp with a Blending Brush one color at a time. This method allowed me to stamp multiple times in the same exact place and maintaining the beautiful DistINKtive image of the stamp. The process takes a little time, but the results are soft and quite realistic.

The background is a simple watercolor wash with Coastal Cabana ink

For the sentiment, I embossed the Special Moments stamp once in white on Coastal Cabana Cardstock and trimmed it close. Then, I stamped it again by inking up the stamp first with Versamark and then with Calypso Coral ink. This allowed me to pour clear embossing powder over the sentiment and add a little texture to the word “Brightening.”

Final touches were some swirled silver Simply Elegant Trim that I had unraveled and a few Iridescent Basic Rhinestone Jewels.
