Hi Friends!!! I’m starting to craft again!!! Wahoo, what a relief. I’m slowing putting my house back together, but in the meantime, I decided to take a well deserved break and make a quick card for the latest TGIF Challenge.
This week, we have an inspiration challenge from page 24 of the July-December Mini Catalog, which is one of favorite suites — Whimsy & Wonder.
I decided to take inspiration from some of my favorite things about this suite, including the gorgeous Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper, colors, the gradient card on the upper left, and that gorgeous frayed bow. Then, I switched things up by using the Delicate Dahlias photopolymer stamp set and making an all-purpose card versus a holiday card.
The Delicate Dahlias stamp set is a Sale-A-Bration product that you can earn for free with a qualifying purchase of $100 USD through September 30, 2021. I absolutely love the images in this two-step stamp set, which include both “line” stamps for delicate detail and “fill” stamps for coloring.
I stamped and embossed the large “detail” dahlia in white on the Vellum layer, and then I stamped the smaller “fill” flowers with Blushing Bride ink on Basic White Cardstock. The variation in color on these “fil” stamps is so beautiful that I didn’t need to do anything else other than cut them out.
Next, I added some simple Penned Flowers die-cut leaves from Basic White Cardstock for contrast and a sentiment stamped with Misty Moonlight ink.
For the bow, I cut the Blushing Bride 3/8″ Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon in half vertically, looped it a couple times, and secured the center with some Linen Thread. This is a super easy way to make a fluffy bow.
Lastly, I embellished my card with some Mint Macaron Genial Gems.
