Stamping Sunday – CASE the Team

By | March 17, 2024

Welcome to the March Stamping Sunday Blog Hop. This month, our theme is to “CASE” the Team or inspired creations. CASE means to Copy And Share Everything. So in other words, we each pick a project we love from one of the other team members, and selectively copy the elements that inspire us. For example it could be the layout, colors, stamps, or even a technique. I decided to CASE Yvonne Spikmans Van-Bruggen from the Netherlands. We were fellow 2022 artisans, and I’ve always admired her designs. She’s also really good at using designer series papers, something I’m not! (I tend to hoard!!! Haha!)

I had just purchased the new Online Exclusive — A Little Latte Suite Collection. It has the CUTEST stamps, dies, designer series papers, and embellishments!!! I really wanted to use the darling papers, so I thought Yvonne’s inspiration would help!

The photo above is my card, and the photo below the card of Yvonne’s that I CASEd. I love her layout, monotone colors, the big, bold sentiment, and of course her use of DSP!

My card is very simple. It’s mostly DSP!!! I used the coordinating dies to cut out the coffee cups and beans from the DSP. I also used a Blending Brush to add some Pecan Pie ink to the layers of DSP and the Splatters dry embossed background layer.

I wanted a big sentiment like Yvonne’s, so I decided to use the Wanted To Say Dies. Plus, this card is for a special birthday. I also added a small scalloped border of Basic White Cardstock using the Scalloped Contours Dies. It made me think of a cute bakery or coffee shop.

The ribbon and dots are also part of the A Little Latte Suite Collection … so, so CUTE! Then, I added a Vellum banner under the ribbon to add more emphasis.

I used another sheet of the DSP to decorate the envelope, along with a couple of the stamps.

On the inside, I stamped the coffee cup with Lost Lagoon ink on Basic White Cardstock and then watercolored it with Lost Lagoon ink. I stamped the coffee with Pecan Pie ink and the steam with the same color, but stamped off once to lighten the color. The sentiment is another Wanted To Say die-cut.

Be sure to continue on through the rest of the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop for more “CASE the Team” inspiration. It’s going to be fun to see which projects everyone picks to CASE, as well as their amazing projects.
