Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop for September 2025. Our theme this month is to be inspired by nature’s palette. Since our group of designers reside all around the world, I imagine there will be a wide variety of interpretations. Some of us are experiencing the the end of Summer or beginning of Autumn, while others are enjoying the beginning of Spring.
The weather in California is generally mild. But we definitely see extremes in the nearby mountains. Fall is a beautiful time of year with changing colors and even early snows. The cool air is a great escape from the valley heat. It’s a great time for hiking and fishing. It’s also one of my favorite places to be anytime of year, so that’s where I took my inspiration.

To create my mountain card, I used the new Light & Wonder Bundle, which is part of the Lights of Aurora Suite Collection on page 36 of the SD Mini Catalog. I love die sets like this one, where I can build nature scenes. It made me think of the Scenic Adventure Bundle; in fact, I think the two would work great together! Plus, I wanted to show that you could make entirely different projects from the ones shown in the catalog by simply changing the colors.
To create this card, I used papers from the Beautiful Gallery and Splendid Autumn Designer Series Papers (DSP.) I particularly love the color palette of the Beautiful Gallery DSP including Mossy Meadow, Pecan Pie, Early Espresso, Gray Granite, Crumb Cake, Lost Lagoon, Secret Sea, and Petal Pink.

After cutting the layers from the DSP, I added shading with Blending Brushes and Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso, Lost Lagoon, and Secret Sea ink.
I used Light & Wonder stamps for the sentiment, cutting down one of the sentiments for the single “you.”

Did you happen to notice the two pack of Early Espresso & Old Olive Linen Thread that’s part of the Gathering Together Suite Collection online? That’s where I got the cool Linen Thread on this card.
Here’s a look at the inside with some leftover DSP and another Light & Wonder sentiment.

I think this bundle is GREAT for masculine cards, especially all the nature lovers in my family.
Be sure to continue on through the rest of the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop to see the other designers’ projects using this month’s theme. This is such a talented group, there’s bound to be lots of inspiration.
