For this month’s Stampin’ Fancy Friday, our theme is to create a project inspired from the beautifully designed 2022 Annual Catalog. The catalog is FULL of inspiration, in fact, the more I look, the more little details I notice. This is a great challenge and I can’t wait to see all the amazing projects!
You can see all the catalog inspired projects designed by the Stampin’ Fancy Friday team on Facebook and Instagram. We’d also love to see how the Annual Catalog inspires you! When you post your projects, be sure to add the hash tag #stampinfancyfriday so we can find and admire them!
I found my inspiration on page 90 of the 2022 Annual Catalog which shows the Sun Prints Collection Suite. I love the colors, images, dies, literally everything about this suite. Then, when I looked more carefully at the samples, I noticed the pretty ink blending and white embossing, so I decided to integrate those techniques into my card.
While I used the same suite of products for my project, that’s not a requirement for this challenge. I just did it because they’re so pretty.
I chose a layout similar to a card in the center of page 90. Then, I picked two of my favorite Sun Prints DSP sheets and added some Pacific Point ink blending to the layer in the center of my card. I love how it brings out the small Pacific Point details in the background print.
Next, I cut two wreaths from Basic White Cardstock and added some subtle blending to the top one. I also embossed the fern in white on Basic White Cardstock and then used Blending Brushes to add both Pacific Point and Starry Sky ink.
To keep the wreath light and make it the focus of the card, I added a couple more white accents. Specifically, I embossed the flower in white on Basic White Cardstock to place behind the sentiment and embossed the fern/branch stamp in white on Vellum.
For the sentiment, I inked up the stamp with Versamark and then Starry Sky ink so I could add clear embossing powder and a little texture. Then, I folded the sentiment tag to shorten it and make sure that pretty wreath showed.
Final details were a Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon bow and some Iridescent Pearls.
If you haven’t lately, I encourage you to thumb through the Annual Catalog again and look at all the details for inspiration. I love picking up color combinations, layouts, and ideas from the talented concept artists that design that gorgeous catalog!
Have a wonderful and creative day:)
