Stampin’ Fancy Friday — Sparkle & Shine

By | September 16, 2025

This month, our Stampin’ Fancy Friday theme is Sparkle & Shine! We’re creating projects with lots of sparkle and shine to celebrate this wonderful time of year! September is when I start kicking my holiday card making into gear, so I don’t have a mad dash in December. (I could start earlier, but I just love Summer too much and can’t get excited about it until the weather starts changing. Haha.)

To see all the designers’ projects using this month’s theme, keep an eye on the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Facebook and Instagram pages. We’d also love to see any of your projects using our theme! Be sure to tag them with @stampinfancyfriday so we can find and admire them!

For my project, I used the Snowflake Kisses Bundle from the new September Online Exclusives. It’s such a fun bundle, with great snowflake shapes, background dies, labels, coordinating sentiments, and even dies for creating masks.

Since our theme is sparkle and shine, I cut the large background die and a few of the smaller snowflakes from white glimmer paper. (I used an old retired pack of glimmer paper with white in it.) I also cut some of the larger blue snowflakes from the new Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper (from the September-December 2025 Mini Catalog.) That pack has three shades of blue glimmer, one of which looks like a combination between Azure Afternoon amd Misty Moonlight. It’s super sparkly and pretty!

For the Balmy Blue and Azure Afternoon Cardstock snowflakes, I added ink blending and Wink of Stella for more bling!

In the background, I randomly blended a layer of Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper with both Azure Afternoon and Balmy Blue ink and then added Azure Afternoon splatter and dry embossed the whole layer with the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder. The pattern made me think of a blizzard.

I particularly love the sentiments in the Snowflake Kisses stamp set. Several members of my family live in snowy areas of Mammoth Lakes and Denver, so I thought it was perfect!

After embossing the sentiment in white, I used the Snowflake Kisses circle die to cut it out. Then, I layered a matching one from Azure Afternoon Cardstock underneath, slightly askew, so you can see the darker blue through the tiny snowflakes.

Under the sentiment circle, I added some Misty Moonlight 1/2″ Silver Edged Ribbon (from the September-December 2025 Mini Catalog.) The silver edge adds even more sparkle and shine, as well as lots of Sparkle Gem embellishments!

On the inside of the card, I used the dies to create a mask and added both Balmy Blue and Azure Afternoon ink. It’s so soft and pretty!

Be sure to check out the new Online Exclusives! You’re going to love them!
