This month, our Stampin’ Fancy Friday challenge is to use the Regals Color Collection. I love all Stampin’ Up! colors, but I’m frequently drawn to both the Brights and Regals Collections. I love bright colors in the Spring and Summer and the rich, jewel tones of regals in the Fall and Winter. Definitely during the holidays, I find myself using regals a LOT. So needless to say, this was a super easy challenge for me.
To see all the designers’ projects using this month’s theme, keep an eye on the Stampin’ Fancy Friday Facebook and Instagram pages. We’d also love to see any of your projects using our theme! Be sure to tag them with @stampinfancyfriday so we can find and admire them!

I worked hard on this card and I’m so happy with how it turned out! It features the Delicate Pines Bundle, a bundle I’ll be featuring in my next online class. (See my blog for all the details.) It really struck me as unique. It’s not quite pines and not quite snowflakes, but something in-between which is so fun and inspiring. I love the delicate images and beautiful die-cuts.
When I work with a new bundle, sometimes I need to play a bit to get the feel of all the different elements. Since this was my first attempt with this bundle and there are A LOT of separate pieces, I had to stop myself and simplify. I think I used about half the elements I originally stamped and cut on the final card, mainly because I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to do. But that’s the way it goes sometimes. Afterwards, I felt a lot more prepared to design my card class.

For the stamped pine/snowflakes, I watercolored Thick Basic White Cardstock first with various color combinations, including Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce, and Old Olive. Then, I stamped the larger snowflake with Pretty Peacock ink and the smaller one with Old Olive ink.
I die-cut leaves and pines from cardstock in those three colors and then used Blending Brushes to shade them. Most of the shading was tone-on-tone, but I shaded the Old Olive leaves with Pretty Peacock ink. Have you ever tried combining those two colors? It’s sheer magic … so, so pretty!
I also layered the pinecone dies using Pecan Pie and Early Espresso Cardstock and then used a Sponge Dauber to add a little bit of Versamark ink so I could heat emboss gold highlights.

In the background, I used a layer of Pretty Peacock Two-Tone Cardstock (the light side.) I blended the edges with Pretty Peacock ink and then dry embossed the whole layer with the Traditional Wreath 3D Embossing Folder. Finally, I added some Pretty Peacock splatter.
The embellishments are a carryover from last year, the Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries.
On the inside, I used a few more die-cuts and the gorgeous coordinating Elegant Pine Snowflakes Designer Series Paper.

I’m so excited to keep creating with this GORGEOUS bundle.
Have a wonderful day,
