Stampin’ Fancy Friday – Online Exclusives

This month, our theme at Stampin’ Fancy Friday is to create a project using any of the fantastic Online Exclusives! I picked the new Floral Charm Suite including the Charming Day Bundle, Floral Charm Designer Series Paper, Petal Pink Braided Trim, and Charming Shimmer Faceted Dots! It’s so pretty!!!

I love the whimsical line art in the Charming Day stamp set. It’s perfect for pen and ink style watercoloring. I was also inspired by the beautiful coordinating designer series paper. One of the sheets has gorgeous watercoloring that I attempted to copy. However, when I finished, I realized that I had used the wrong color (Timid Tiger versus Cajun Craze) and my die-cuts didn’t look good with the paper. So I ended up substituting a suble Pretty Peacock print instead.

I watercolored the leaves with a combination of Mossy Meadow and Pretty Peacock ink.

In the background, I dry embossed a layer of Basic Beige Cardstock with the Damask Designs Embossing Folder. Then, I dragged a Basic Beige stamp pad over the layer to give it a vintage look.

On the top Party Banner die-cut, I used the Elements Of Text stamps to add the script and then added splatter with a Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends Marker.

I die-cut the leaves from Pretty Peacock Two-Tone Cardstock and then unraveled some of the Petal Pink Braided Trim to thread through my top banner.
