Last weekend, I had time to play with some of the new products from the upcoming Holiday Catalog! (Products available to order on September 4, 2019). I seriously think this Holiday Catalog is my all-time favorite. So how about a little sneak peek of my favorite new suite called Feels Like Frost?
The Feels Like Frost Suite includes the Frosted Foliage stamp set, Frosted Frame Dies, and GORGEOUS Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (SDSP), as well as some really “cool” new products to embellish your projects. (Ha! Like my pun?)
I’m totally in love with this 6″ x 6″ SDSP pack! It has beautiful photographic quality paper on one side and metallic silver and white designs on the other. I’m also totally in love with the die cut images! There is an intricate frame, stitched label, and individual layering snowflakes and leaves for lots of creativity. Finally, I’m super in love with the Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin’ Glitter!!! Enough words, let me show you what I’m talking about.
For my first card, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the Feels Like Frost SDSP with Blackberry Bliss ink. Since I didn’t want to waste a speck of this beautiful paper, I used a Stamparatus to ensure I didn’t make a mistake and could re-stamp for perfect coverage.
After cutting out the sentiment with the intricate frame die, I layered it over the same die, as well as some additional leaves and snowflakes, cut from Blackberry Bliss and Purple Posy Cardstock. Then, I squeezed the Shimmery Crystal Effects over the tips of the leaves and covered it with Ice Stampin’ Glitter. The glitter sticks to the crystal effects. Oh my gosh, the end result is totally gorgeous!
Final details included a background embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder, some Snowflake Sequins, and some frayed Nature’s Twine.
For my next card, I used the Feels Like Frost SDSP as a background layer. It’s so pretty that I didn’t want to cover up too much of it. Since I used a smaller sentiment, I used a partial die cutting method to shorten the label. First, I cut out the top two-thirds of the label, then I re-positioned the die to cut out the bottom.
I layered some of the pretty leaf dies cut from Purple Posy and Basic Gray Cardstock over a layer of Vellum cut with the intricate label die.
For my last card, I again used the Feels Like Frost SDSP as a background. Then, I used die cuts from multiple colors of Seaside Spray, Highlander Heather, and Vellum Cardstock to layer behind the stitched label.
Initially, I didn’t use the Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin’ Glitter. (See photo below.)
But when I looked at the card again the next day, I realized that I NEED to add those icy elements! They are just too pretty!!!
Did you notice the pretty Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon? That’s just another gorgeous product front this suite of frosty, icy, loveliness.
