Hi Stamping Friends! I just got home from an exciting trip to OnStage in Raleigh, North Carolina. This is a super fun event for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators where we can gather together to share ideas, view new products and demonstrations, and learn about the upcoming Annual Catalog. It’s also a great way for me to learn about the newest trends and techniques.
Another one of my favorite things about OnStage is attending with my mom. We’ve been going together for the last 9 years! In addition, I LOVE connecting with friends and making new ones, as well as trading swaps. This year, my mom and I participated in several organized swaps where we exchanged full cards. I made 40 cards and thought it would be fun to share.
My cards feature the Textured Floral Bundle and the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper (DSP), two of my favorite products. Since the paper comes in a 6″ x 6″ pack with 8 sheets of each design, I needed to pick three different designs to complete the 40 cards. (I could cut two background die-cuts from each sheet.) I love the slight variation in the three designs!

To stamp the flowers, I inked up the stamp with one color, stamped off one to two times to lighted the shade, then added a second color to the center with a Sponge Dauber. Then, I gave the stamp a liberal spritz of water and stamped on Basic White Cardstock. I really love this technique because it looks like watercoloring, but it’s so easy! It was a great way for me to make lots of flowers without having to individually paint each one. For the smallest flower, I also stamped the center after the paper dried.
I used colors inspired by the DSP, including Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral for the large flower, Fresh Freesia and Berry Burst for the medium-sized flower, and Petal Pink and Calypso Coral for the smallest flower.

I created the background with the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. I can already tell, it’s going to be a big favorite of mine! The sentiment is die-cut with the Textured Notes Dies from the same Botanical Textures Suite Collection. You can find all of these products in the Online Exclusives section of my online store. (Tip: The corrugation eats up quite a bit of paper, so cut the layer a little long on that particular side. For example, I added 1/8″ to the height of my Basic White background layer.)

Have a wonderful and creative day.
