OnStage – Bee Mine Suite – Sneak Peek

By | November 16, 2023

Last weekend was so fun! I had the opportunity to attend OnStage@Home with my Mom while we were visiting my sister in Southern California. (I have a new, precious grandniece that I was dying to meet for the first time!) Mom and I have a history of attending all the OnStage events together, so we couldn’t miss this one! We share a passion for stamping and more than anything, we just love being together! If you’ve never attended an Onstage event, it includes opportunities to see and play with new products, watch inspirational presentations, and learn about what’s happening at Stampin’ Up! It’s also an amazing opportunity to visit with like-minded friends. I highly encourage all demonstrators to go.

This particular OnStage was a virtual one-day event to celebrate Stampin’ Up!’s 35th anniversary. We had the opportunity to preview the new January-April Mini and Sale-A-Brations Catalogs AND preorder select products!

Part of the event included a stamping session with the new Bee Mine Suite Collection. (We were able to preorder the suite prior to the event.) You will find this suite in the JA Mini Catalog which goes live January 4, 2024. The suite includes the Bee My Valentine Bundle (photopolymer stamp set and coordinating punch), Be Mine 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, Sweet Sorbet 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon, Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers, and Square Pillow Boxes (not shown.)

This shouldn’t come as a surprise; I took the basic designs of the two cards we created during OnStage and “enhanced” them. This first card in particular, I thought would be perfect to give to my son and daughter-in-law for their first anniversary coming up. I borrowed the Happy Anniversary sentiment from the Love For You stamp set, but everything else is from the Bee Mine Suite.

Here are a few of the things I did to enhance my card: I stamped the wings with Pool Party ink on Basic White and Vellum Cardstock. Then, I lightly watercolored the Basic White wings. I thought the Vellum layer gave an appearance of flapping wings. (So fun!) In addition, when I stamped the bee’s body, I inked up the stamp with Daffodil Delight ink, stamped off once, and then used a Sponge Dauber to add shading with the same color around the edges of the stamp. Then, after stamping the face and stripes, I used a Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend Marker to add rosy cheeks.

I also added a few more of the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers to my enhanced version.

On the inside, I fussy cut a few items from the DSP. Then, I realized the bee body punch could also work as a speech bubble! The sentiment is from the darling Bee My Valentine stamp set.

I loved the enhancements I made on the first card, so I copied several of them on the second card, including the bee body, rosy cheeks, and Vellum wings. Aren’t the different faces cute? (There’s more too!)

I also added some of the Sweet Sorbet ribbon to both cards and white embossed sentiment. In addition, since the sentiment mentions “honey,” I fussy cut another jar from the DSP to add to my card.

I think this whole suite is adorable and that you’re going to love it!

The next OnStage is a BIG one. It’s a two and half day live event in Houston in mid-March. Mom and I can’t wait!!! Sound fun? Contact me for more details to sign up as a demonstrator and register.

Have a wonderful day!
