I’m working on wrapping up my 2020 Desktop Calendars! I actually worked ahead and got November finished last month before I took off on vacation. I absolutely LOVE the entire Come To Gather Suite of products on pages 46 to 48 of the Holiday Catalog, so it was an easy choice to feature for this month’s page.
These calendars measure 4″ x 6″ and fit in a standard frame. I try to create one a month for the following year, so I can give them away to friends and family at Christmas.
I used a few fun techniques to create this calendar page. For the pumpkins, I stamped them with Golden Glitz Delecata ink (because copper was on backorder) on Shimmery White Cardstock and then embossed them in copper. Afterwards, I watercolored the pumpkin with Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso ink.
For the Gathered Leaves Dies, I pressed the metal die into my ink pad before running it through my die cutting machine (using both Pretty Peacock and Pumpkin Pie ink.) To achieve a two-tone look, first I pressed the metal die into Pumpkin Pie ink and then I used a Sponge Dauber to add Pretty Peacock ink to the edges before running the die through my die cutting machine. It was very messy, and I had blue fingers for a few days, but it looks SOOO pretty!!! Maybe gloves would have been a good idea … haha!
Next, I stamped the large Gathered Together leaf with Pretty Peacock ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock, and then used an Aqua Painter to watercolor it with Pretty Peacock ink.
After that, I added various die cuts. I used the Seasonal Layers Dies to cut a leaf from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock and the All Around Wreath Dies to cut branches from Early Espresso Cardstock and small leaves from Copper Foil.
I printed the calendar background on Shimmery White Cardstock so I could watercolor a wash with Pretty Peacock ink and then use the same color to stamp the Gather Together dots.
Finally, I stamped the month using a retired stamp set called Date It on Pretty Peacock Cardstock and embossed it in copper. Then, I punched it out with the Classic Label Punch.
I created the calendar pages using My Memories Suite software. You can download a printable JPEG HERE. Print the November calendar on Shimmery White Cardstock with the smallest margins possible for your printer. The print is colored Soft Suede (to look similar to the copper embossing.) I designed the pages to go all the way to the edges of a standard 8-1/2″ x 11″ sheet of cardstock. Trim as follows:
One more calendar to go! I’m getting excited to wrap up this project and feeling really good about the entire set of calendar pages this year. In December, I will also post an idea for packaging up the entire year of calendars.
Have a wonderful and creative day!
