It’s almost the end of May already!!! That means it’s time for a new installment of my 2019 Desktop Calendars. My goal is to design and create at least one calendar page a month for the following year. That way, by December I have a full set of calendars to hand out for gifts during the holidays.
For the May 2019 calendars, I used up some of my absolute favorite designer series paper of all time, the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog. It will be retiring on May 31, but when I was writing this, it was still available to purchase! (See link in supply list below.) I love this paper, because it’s classic black and white, so it goes with almost everything. Plus it’s super versatile … you can color it with Stampin’ Blends, watercolor pencils, or Stampin’ Write Markers. And mostly, I just love it because it’s SO PRETTY!!!
It was the perfect choice for my calendars.
I think these calendars have a distinct French flair don’t you? I just love how they turned out.
I didn’t have much of the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper left, so I used a couple different designs for the background of my calendars. The calendars measure 4″ x 6″, allowing you to cut six from a full 12″ x 12″ sheet.
To decorate the calendar, I stamped the flowers from the Petal Palette stamp set with Basic Black Archival ink on Shimmery White Cardstock. Then, I used some new colors to watercolor the flowers! I used Poppy Parade and Mango Melody for the flowers, and Garden Green and Granny Apply Green for the leaves. I also used some new Granny Apple Green cardstock to cut out the leaf die. I ended up cutting that die into five pieces so I could fill in the spaces behind the flowers.
Remember too that while the Petal Palette stamp set and Petals & More Framelits Dies will both be carrying over to the new catalog individually, you can only purchase the bundle that includes both items discounted at 10% through May 31st!
You might have spied a couple other new items on these calendars. I used the Make A Difference stamp set to write “May” and the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies to cut out the month.
Here are all the finished calendars.
I created a printable calendar page on My Memories Suite. After cutting out each calendar layer, I added a strip of Pick A Pattern Washi Tape to the top and bottom of each sheet.
To download the calendar page JPEG, click HERE. Print the JPEG on 8-1/2″ x 11″ Whisper White cardstock with the smallest margins possible for your printer. The days and numbers are colored black, so no need to use a color setting. Each sheet will make 4 calendar layers. Trim each one down to 3″ x 5″ as follows:
