Today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration! That means the last day to earn free products with purchases of $50 or $100, the last day to earn extra host rewards, and the last day to earn free products in your Starter Kit when you join Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator. It’s also the last day to order the limited-time coordinating products that are only available during the month of March. Be sure to take advantage of all these savings and great products! Go to my online store and click on Sale-A-Bration to see the free products you can still earn today, and Sale-A-Bration Coordination to see the coordinating products still available to purchase.
Speaking of Sale-A-Bration, I thought I’d break out my Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper one more time and design a card for the Global Design Project this week. (You can earn this paper for free with a $50 purchase today.)
The challenge this week is a sketch challenge.
I stamped the little butterflies with the Butterfly Gala stamp set and punched them out with the coordinating Butterfly Duet Punch. This punch is once again available to order, and what’s even better is that when you order the bundle, you can save 10%.
After punching out the butterflies, I stamped the bodies. That way, I could assure that they were lined up properly. Stamping those little bodies can be a bit challenging, so here are a few tips:
- Use a Stamparatus for perfect placement, or if you’re lazy like me and want to freehand it, do this. Place the punched butterfly on top of black cardstock. That way, it’s easy to see the outline of the punched butterfly.
- Look through the acrylic block, and starting from the bottom of the punch, line up the body in the center and then move the stamp straight up into place. It works pretty well. I only had to throw away a few. Definitely stamp the bodies before spending any time coloring!!!
After coloring the butterflies with Stampin’ Blends, I cut out some fun background bling using the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits. Lastly, I added a sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings and added some Artisan Pearls.
Have a great Sunday!
