He’s The Man Birthday

By | September 13, 2022

Happy Birthday to our baby boy and first born! (He’s definitely not a baby anymore, but he’ll always be ours!) He loves to barbeque so I think he’ll get a kick out of this card. I used the He’s the Man Suite Collection. It’s chalked full of coordinating stamps, dies, papers and embellishments making it so easy.

I was inspired by a card made by Cindy Schuster during her Crafty Carrot Collective tutorials @craftycarrotco in August to create the circle of torn paper in the background. My goal was to make it look like a flame, and I love how it turned out. After adhering the torn papers together, I used a Stylish Shapes Die to cut the circle. Because there are so many layers, it does not cut all the way through, but it’s enough to clean it up with scissors. I love this look!

There’s no stamping at all on the front of this card. The punch out says it all!

To finish the card front, I added a few Early Espresso die-cuts using the All That Dies, dry embossed some of the He’s The Man Designer Series Paper with the Hive 3D Embossing Folder, and added some Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim.

On the inside, I pieced together a couple stamps to complete the greeting . The “Wishing You a Happy” is from the He’s All That Stamp Set and the “BIRTHDAY” is from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set. I inked up the stamp with Pumpkin Pie ink and then added Merry Merlot with a Sponge Dauber before stamping on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used an All That Die to cut them both out.

The papers and punch outs are all from the He’s The Man Designer Series Papers.

Best wishes and Happy Birthday Samuel!

Have a wonderful day!
