Hello Stampers! Happy Friday!
Today, I have a sweet baby card to share with you using the Butterfly Gala and So Sentimental stamp sets.
Some dear family members are having their first baby soon! It’s very exciting!!! So, I wanted to make them a card.
I have to admit that I had to put a lot of thought into coming up with a concept for this card. I don’t have many occasions to create baby cards, so I don’t have many supplies in my stash. On top of that, I don’t know if the baby is going to be a girl or boy, so I needed to use neutral colors.
One thing I did have is this cute little sentiment from So Sentimental. In addition, the coordinating Stitched So Sweetly Dies are just perfect for a baby.
I stamped the butterflies with Memento ink on Whisper White Cardstock and colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers. I used lots of coordinating colors for a wide variation on each butterfly. In fact, I used three color combinations for each one. (See product list below.)
Tip: When stamping the Butterfly Gala butterflies, I suggest stamping the wings first, then punching them out, and THEN stamping the bodies. I find it nearly impossible to line up the bodies correctly before punching. However, if I punch them out first, then I can see where the bodies should go. (Also, I used a Basic Black Dark Stampin’ Blends Marker for touch ups!)
For the Basic Black die cuts underneath, I used the Butterfly Beauty Dies. I used the bold design and cut apart some of the butterflies to create single die cuts. For the baby butterfly, I pieced together two halves of a smaller die cut so the ends would peek out on both sides.
Hope I’ve inspired you! Enjoy the rest of your week!!!
