Fall Pizza Gift Box

One of the fun new products featured in the Holiday Catalog are Mini Pizza Boxes!!!  I made the one below as a door prize for my stamp workshop last week.  The boxes come in white, but I wanted to try coloring one, so before assembling it, I spritzed it with a mixture of water and Bermuda Bay Reinker.  I LOVE the way it turned out!  (One note of caution when trying this.  I sort of overdid it with the spritzing, and the inside of the box got stained.  So, try not to get the box too wet.)

The really nice thing about these mini pizza boxes it that the inside is lined with a food safe coating, so they are perfect for little treats.  Also, you get eight 3″ x 3″ boxes for only $6.00!  They are super easy to assemble too.  Simply use a Bone Folder to set all the folds.  No adhesive needed.

To decorate my box, I created a belly band out of Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I have a trick for belly bands …  Cut a strip of paper the desired width, then use your fingers to fold it around the box meeting the ends on the bottom.  Remove the strip and set the folds with a Bone Folder.  Then, place the belly band back on the box and adhere with Fast Fuse.

Next, I cut the flowers and green leaves out of one of the sheets of Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper.  That paper is SO pretty!!!  Afterwards, I stamped the Bermuda Bay leaves on some Shimmery White Paper.  To get a nice watercolored look, I used an Aqua Painter to paint clear water over the inked stamp before stamping it.  Then, I punched out the leaves with the coordinating Leaf Punch.

For the tag, I added a Corrugated Element and then I cut out the “for you” from a larger stamp in the Painted Harvest stamp set.  Finally, I wrapped the box with some 1/4″ Copper Trim that I had pulled apart.

Birthday Cards!!!

Next, I wanted to share some of the AMAZINGLY beautiful birthday cards I received a few weeks ago for my birthday!  Knowing how much hard work, thought, and love goes into making handmade cards, I really appreciate them.  I feel so lucky and grateful to be the recipient of these beautiful works of art.

This first card is from my sister Jill.  She made me a mermaid card!!!!  I exclaimed with joy when I opened it, considering I’m a water lover and swimmer.  I absolutely love the detail she put into coloring the tail, as well as the soft pretty colors.  And, did you notice the pretty pearls on in the mermaid’s hair?  So cute!!!

Next is a gorgeous card made by my dear, sweet mom.  Blues and greens are my favorite color combination, so she nailed it!  It’s hard to see in the photo, but the jar has a die cut Window Sheet over it to look like glass.  What a clever idea!  I also love the elegant white on white embossed background.  So lovely!!!

This next card was made by my beautiful sister-in-law Laurel.  She watercolored all the bright, pretty flowers, and I love how the whole card looks so artistic.  What a gorgeous card!

This last card was made by my good friend Faith.  She used the pretty Foil Frenzy Designer Series Paper as a fun and happy background.  I just love that paper!  It’s perfect for birthday cards.  I also love the Copper Foil “Happy Birthday.”  It adds such elegance to the card.

I am one lucky person!  Thank you again for all the beautiful cards!!!

Hope you have a great week.
