Hello! Today, I’m sharing a card I made with the new Etched In Nature stamp set which is featured in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I created this card for a virtual swap during a recent demonstrator OnTour Event. We all got the same stamp set and had the opportunity to share our swaps with each other.
This stamp set has some really pretty images with fine detail that reminded me of pen and ink drawings. Therefore, I decided to go with that theme and use watercoloring as my medium.
I stamped the bird with Stazon ink on Shimmery White Cardstock and watercolored it with Water Painters using the ink colors in the Supply List below. I have to admit that I’m not really sure what kind of bird this is or how it should be colored, so I just Googled pretty colorful robins and took a little artistic license.
For the background, i used a layer of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. I’m so excited that this paper is carrying over to the new catalog. I absolutely LOVE it. I stamped the branch several times with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and also embossed it in white for a vintage look. Afterwards, I roughed up the edges with my scissors and then used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add splatter to both the circle die-cut and background.
I was playing around with my Linen Thread and realized that if I pulled it apart, I could create a little “nest” to go under my sentiment.
This is just one of many, many great new stamp sets in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I’m sure you’re going to love it as much as I do.
