I particularly love all the beautiful green tones in this collection, and while it wasn’t designed for Christmas, it’s super easy to add some reds and holiday sentiments to make it work for the holidays.
Sending Christmas Hugs
One of the sentiments in the Eden’s Garden stamp set is “Sending Hugs,” so I decided to steal the word “Christmas” from the Inspiring Thoughts stamp set and create this slimline Christmas card!
I have to confess that I designed this whole card around the background paper. When I saw that gorgeous ombre design, I was hooked! I just had to make a slimline card wide enough to accommodate the entire spectrum.
Let me point out a few of my favorite things about this card:
- I cut the left side panel from three layers of Evening Evergreen Cotton Paper using the Eden Dies. The paper has a similar feel to tissue paper, so it adds a lovely texture.
- I stamped the large flower with two colors of ink. I used Sponge Daubers to add Evening Evergreen ink to the leaves and Cherry Cobbler ink to the berry sections. Then, I added a little more Evening Evergreen ink the the outside edges. After stamping the image on Shimmery White Cardstock, I used a Water Painter to paint over the stamped image very lightly. This effectively darkens the ink and creates a “painted” look. For the smaller stamped images, I simply stamped them with either Evening Evergreen or Cherry Cobbler ink and then painted them with a Water Painter in a similar fashion. Tip: Cherry Cobbler ink is very potent, so I used a Paper Towel to clean my brush frequently and control the spread.
- I used several of the Eden Dies to create layers under the stamped flower and leaves. That entailed using my Paper Snips to trim the die-cuts and form the shapes I wanted.
- Finally, I unraveled some Simply Elegant Trim and then tied the strands into a knot to add some gold highlights.
I particularly love the Garden Gems, especially the diamond shaped ones that I layered on the left side strip! They’re so unique and sparkly!!! Plus, the Cherry Cobbler ones were perfect for my “holly berries.”
Mini Paper Pumpkin Gift Box
I was so fun to play with these new products! The Cotton Paper is super fun and different and I love the designer series paper. I used one of the sheets of Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series Paper to cover a Mini Paper Pumpkin Box for this project.
My favorite part of this gift box is the bow, inspired by my Artisan friend Leah Fedynak. I cut the Cotton Paper into 1/4″ strips. Then, I spritzed them with water and wrapped the strips around the barrel of a paint brush (anything round would work.) Afterwards, I used a Heat Tool to dry the paper and form permanent curls. Fun!!!
Next, I wrapped the box and tied a bow with some gorgeous Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/2″ Metallic Ribbon.
For the tag, I used the Encircled in Warmth Stamp Set and Encircled in Beauty Dies. Then, I embellished it with stamps and die-cuts from the Eden’s Garden Collection, using the same technique as the slimline card above.
I love this versatile collection of products!!!

Tammy,I just love these projects. I love how you did the focal image on the card. Yes, I’m going to CASE!
Also, those paper curls…too cute. I wasn’t a fan of the cotton paper, but these curls and the technique in which you crumple the paper and then adhere it to cardstock, has made me change my mind.
Thank you so much for sharing these lovely projects.

Thanks Sue!!! I appreciate your comments. I really can’t take credit for all of that though. The crumpled paper is from Chelsey on the Artisan Design Team.
Thanks so much Mallory! xxx
So gorgeous. All the Artisan Designers knocked this one out of the park. All were stunning projects.
