Color Fusers Blog Hop – September 2025

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for September 2025! This month, we have a great color combination for Fall including Cajun Craze, Garden Green, and Basic Beige. I also thought it seemed like a great combo for masculine cards and I have a lot of September and October birthdays coming up.

Before I start, I need to explain that I designed a slightly oversized card measuring 6-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ so I could fit four Party Alphabet die-cut letters on the front. The card fits in a retired large envelope that I had on hand.

I noticed that the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper includes both Cajun Craze and Garden Green colors, so I found a background sheet that really emphasized both. Then, to add a more rustic look, I roughed up the edges and added Cajun Craze splatter.

As you can see, I had some fun with the Party Alphabet letters on this card. I tore strips of Splendid Autumn DSP, Garden Green Two-Tone Cardstock, and Cajun Craze Cardstock for a varied look. Then, I die-cut the letters and dry embossed them with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder. I even angled the letters for more variety. Some of the thinner DSP tore during the last step, but I actually love it because it gives the card a more rustic look. Afterwards, I layered each letter over a matching Basic Beige one.

Next, I added a few Gallery Bloom die-cuts from Basic Beige Cardstock that I colored with Garden Green and Cajun Craze ink blending.
