Color Fusers Blog Hop – September

Hello and welcome to the September Color Fusers Blog Hop! We have a fun color combination this month, which includes the Designer’s Choice of ANY color along with Basic Black and Basic White!!! I had a wedding card to make for my niece Katie, who got just got married on Saturday, so I picked Blushing Bride:)

My card features the Hand Penned Petals Bundle, including the Hand Penned Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set and Penned Flowers Dies (purchase in a bundle to save 10%!) These products coordinate with the Beautifully Penned 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper, which happens to be black and white! (Perfect for this challenge!) To create my card, I stamped the flower image on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with Stazon ink and then watercolored the flower with Blushing Bride ink. (I also added a little bit of Smoky Slate ink on the leaves for shading.) After the paper dried, I used a Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker to flick splatter on the flower.

You may notice another Sale-A-Bration product on my card. I cut some of the dies from Be Dazzling 6″ x 6″ Specialty Paper. Every bride needs a little glitz to feel like a princess for the day, so this paper added the perfect touch.

I layered the flower over a Layering Circle die-cut that I watercolored with Blushing Bride ink. Then, I layered those over several Encircled In Beauty die-cuts, which are so delicate and feminine.

Behind the sentiment, I added a little splash of Metallic Mesh Ribbon. After trying several other options, this was my favorite, because it added a bit more sparkle, without covering up the flower image.

On the inside, I used a little more of the Beautifully Penned DSP and a sentiment from the Color & Contour stamp set.
