Color Fusers Blog Hop — November 2024 — Sophisticated Sled

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for November 2024! This month’s color combination is so pretty, including some of my favorite colors: Berry Burst, Fresh Freesia, and Azure Afternoon. The combination made me think of Winter and ice, so I decided to use the Sophisticated Sled Bundle.

This is only the second card I’ve made with the Sophisticated Sled Bundle and I’m really loving it! You can find it under Online Exclusives! Did you notice that there’s a little slit on the die-cut skates for the laces to slip into? So clever!

I also love the stamped wreath and accent die-cuts. For this card, I embossed the wreath in silver on Basic White Cardstock and then watercolored the leaves and berries with the challenge colors. I also pre-painted a layer of Basic White Cardstock with Azure Afternoon ink to use for die-cutting the accent leaves.

I’m currently on a mission to make lots of Christmas cards, so I used a sentiment from the Greetings of the Season stamp set heat embossed in silver on Berry Burst Cardstock.

In the background, I used some additional Online Exclusives for the layers including Naturally Gilded Designer Series Paper and white glimmer paper. I love sparkle and shine on holiday cards!

On the inside, I watercolored the mistletoe in a similar fashion and added a few more of the watercolored die-cuts.
