Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for November! This month, we have a color combination that includes Merry Merlot, Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider, and Early Espresso. This color combination was a challenge for me. I had to put a lot of thought into my project The Merry Merlot made me think of Christmas, and I have a lot of Christmas cards to make. It was the browns that sort of threw me for a loop at first, but then I thought of puppies!!! I decided to make a Christmas card using the Sweet Little Stockings Bundle!

I LOVE the adorable Sweet Little Stockings stamps and coordinating Stockings Dies. They’ve got a little of everything, including cute animals; festive stockings, presents, and embellishments; great sentiments; and a terrific background banner die. It’s perfect for coloring and layering!
I stamped most the images with Stazon ink on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and watercolored them with the challenge colors. For a little texture, I also added some Jolly Felt to the top of my stocking.
In the background, I stamped and embossed the leaf images in white on Cinnamon Cider Cardstock. Then, I used a Sponge Dauber to add White Craft ink for an iced “gingerbread” look. Afterwards, I stamped the stars with White Craft Ink.
The banner is cut from Whimsy & Wonder 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper. Then, as a final touch, I added some White Glittered Organdy Ribbon, some Decorative Matte Dots, and a little Wink of Stella Glitter on the bows. (Gotta have some Christmas glitz!)
