Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for May 2025! This is a super exciting month because the new Annual Catalog is going live tomorrow! So our color combination for the month includes the new 2025-2027 In Colors including Strawberry Slush. Timid Tiger. Darling Duckling, Cloud Cover, and Secret Sea. They are all beautiful colors individually and also work well together and with last year’s In Colors.
If you’re unfamiliar with “In Colors,” every year Stampin’ Up! introduces five trendy colors to its classic color palette to keep everything fresh. These colors will only be available for two years, but sometimes they come back like Strawberry Slush.

For my card, I used the Cheers & Sips Bundle (a new May Online Exclusive.) I absolutely love this bundle and have been meaning to break out the stamps and have some fun with watercoloring techniques. So here was my chance.
I stamped and heat embossed the glasses and ice cubes in white on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Then, I watercolored them with Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger, and Strawberry Slush. By stamping the ice cubes first, I could paint around them and then add highlights so they looked a little lighter than the lemonade. I could also make my glasses look frosty by fading the color from the center to the outside.
You may have heard that Stampin’ Up! did not release the full size Cloud Cover ink pad during the demonstrator pre-order, nor will it be available for customers orders tomorrow. Stampin’ Up! noticed a rare chemical reaction with the firm foam in the regular size ink pads, causing the color to shift outside Stampin’ Up!’s tolerance standards. However, the following items will be available to purchase: Cloud Cover Ink Refill, Stampin’ Blends Markers and Stampin’ Write Markers. Therefore, you could purchase some small uninked Stampin’ Spots and use the ink refill to create a mini pad. Another idea is to use the Stampin’ Write Markers as I did on my card below.

I used the Cloud Cover marker (brush end) to color on an acrylic block. Then, I used the ink pooled on the block to watercolor my background. I also used the Cloud Cover Stampin’ Write Marker to color directly onto my stamps.
To create my fruit, I inked up the stamp and then stamped off on scratch paper once or twice to lighted the color. Afterwards, I used a Sponge Dauber to add more color to the stamp in certain areas to create a shadow. Then, I gave the stamp a good spritz and stamped on watercolor paper. I also used a paint brush to add a little bit of watercoloring to fill in some of the images. For the umbrella, I simply stamped with Strawberry Slush and then watercolored the inside.

The White 1/4″ Ribbon is another new May Online Exclusive. I cut it in half lengthwise to form my bow.
