Color Fusers Blog Hop – January 2026

Hello and welcome to the first Color Fusers Blog Hop of 2026!!! This month, our color combination includes Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon, and Gold. Super fun!!! I never would have thought of this combo on my own, so I really had to think about what to do and search my stash. Then, I remembered a sheet of Country Woods Designer Series Paper colored Petal Pink. I absolutely love that paper, so that’s where I began. The rest of my card features new products from the January Online Exclusive including the Simply Beautiful Bundle.

The flower dies in this bundle really intrigued me and this was the first time I had used them. They have a tropical vibe that I really love. I cut them all out of Basic White Thick Cardstock and used a Blending Brush to add Petal Pink ink starting at the tips of the petals and blending inwards. I did something similar with the leaves, but with Lost Lagoon ink. Afterwards, I splattered all the die-cuts with water. I love how this turned out and it was so simple. It looks like flowers after the rain.

For the flower centers, I used a Sponge Dauber to add Versamark ink to the stamens and then heat embossed them in gold. Lastly, before adhering the flowers to my card, I used a Bone Folder to gently shape all the petals.

In the background, I used the new Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder to dry emboss the layer of Country Woods Designer Series Paper. Then, I used a Sponge Dauber and Versamark ink to coat the edges and add some gold heat embossing.

I love the sweet sentiments in the Simply Beautiful Stamp Set. They’re perfect for weddings and I have a couple coming up this year.
