Color Fusers Blog Hop — February 2025

Welcome to a new Color Fusers Blog Hop! This month, our color combination includes Bubble Bath, Coastal Cabana, and Soft Sea Foam. It’s a really pretty combination including colors I don’t often use, so I was excited to give it a go.

My card features the Mixed Florals Bundle, a great online exclusive. I love coloring line art, so I was immediately drawn to it. In fact, I’m hosting an online class featuring this bundle this week. I love watercoloring, so I stamped the main image with Jet Black Stazon ink on Basic White and watercolored it with this month’s colors. The leaves are a combination of Soft Sea Foam and Coastal Cabana ink, which pair beautifully together!

For the tulips, I watercolored them twice with Bubble Bath ink to enhance the color. First, I watercolored them with lots of water so the ink would blend. After the paper dried, I used a dry brush technique to add darker highlights, painting from the base upwards.

For a little artistic flair, I also added Coastal Cabana splatter to the watercolored background and a little on my watercolored ieaves. Then, I added Bubble Bath splatter over the flowers. I also added some Bubble Bath colored sequins from the Sale-A-Bration — Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins.

Since the Mixed Florals Bundle does not include sentiments, I used one from the Greetings For All Ephemera Pack. I absolutely LOVE that pack, because it includes loads of black & white sentiments that I can easily add to just about any card.
