Welcome to the December Color Fusers Blog Hop! This month, we have a truly elegant color combination including Cherry Cobbler, Petal Pink and Evening Evergreen. When I first saw this combination, my heart skipped a beat; they are so beautiful together!!! I can’t wait to see all the designers’ projects.
Be sure to continue through the entire blog hop by following the navigation buttons at the bottom of this post.

For my project, I used the Painted Christmas Suite again. I just love this super suite, which includes both the Christmas Season Bundle and Christmas to Remember Bundle. This time, I changed things up and used some different designer series papers to incorporate the challenge colors including Ever Eden and Sweet Stockings Designer Series Paper. I also cut up an Ombre Gift Bag for the background.

On the left side, I cut up some 1/4″ strips of Ever Eden 12″ x 12″ Cotton Paper and folded and attached the strips to the back of the panel with Seal to create a ruffle. That paper is so fun (and easy) to work with!
I particularly love the “pink” pinecones created with Petal Pink Cardstock and Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper.

Underneath the label, I layered sections of Christmas Pinecones die-cuts that I cut from Evening Evergreen and Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Prior to cutting out the watercolor paper, I watercolored the entire panel with Evening Evergreen ink for some subtle gradients in color.
Final touches included some beautiful Garden Gems and a bow tied with Cherry Cobbler & Gold Metallic Ribbon. I cut the ribbon in half lengthwise to make it narrower. This caused some fraying of the metallic threads, giving the bow a tattered look that I love.

Hope my card inspires you. Next up in the Color Fusers Blog Hop is the Gail Ellis! I ALWAYS love her creations, so be sure to continue on!
