Color Fusers Blog Hop — April 2025

Hi Stamping Friends! Welcome to the April 2025 Color Fusers Blog Hop. This month, our color combination includes Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue, and Gorgeous Grape. I decided to use a new stamp set from the upcoming 2025-2026 Annual Catalog called Layered Thoughts. It has great sketched sentiments that are perfect for masculine cards, something I’m always in need of.

I watercolored the background of this card with inspiration from the Full Of Life Designer Series Paper. Since none of the sheets in that pack included the challenge colors, I decided to paint my own. I started with a sheet of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper and used one of the wonky circle dies from the Around It All Dies as a stencil to lightly draw the circle pattern with pencil. Then, I used a medium Water Painter to layer the three challenge colors.

After painting the circles, I die-cut the sheet with a Textured Notes Die and stamped the sentiment with Black StazOn ink.

I layered the main panel over a Balmy Blue layer that was dry embossed with the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder and then added some Balmy Blue & White Variegated Ribbon and Rainbow Dots as accents. It’s simple, but also bright and cheerful.
