Hello and welcome to my blog. I’m Tami Hewlett from California, USA, and today I have the pleasure of sharing a couple projects I created using the new All Together Collection!
The Artisan Design Team was divided into groups and has been featuring different products from the All Together Collection during the past couple months. My group was tasked with showing creative ways to use the new Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends Markers. (So fun, because I LOVE Stampin’ Blends Markers!!!) Be sure to visit the Stampin’ Up! Facebook page and check out all the Artisans’ projects using this awesome collection.
The All Together Collection is available to purchase through May 2, 2022, It includes the Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends Marker Collection that will be featured in the new 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalog. These markers are available to purchase all together in a 10 marker collection or individually in two-marker sets. Love Changes Everything with Alcohol Ink Blending:
I seriously adore Stampin’ Blends Markers! So anytime there are new colors available, they are the first items in my shopping bag. Why do I love them so much? They are so easy to use and look fantastic!!! And, I can use them with a variety of techniques. I can use them to color stamped images, embellishments, ribbon, paper to die-cut, backgrounds, and even designer series papers. For my first card, I used the new Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends to create this fun background on Vellum Paper.
I wanted to emphasize the heart created by the hands, so I used the image to draw a coordinating heart on Vellum with Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers. Then, I used all 10 of the Natural Tones markers to continue the halo effect outward. You can see below (on the left side) what my Vellum Paper looked like before I added 91% isopropyl alcohol with a paint brush. I drew the outline very sketchy and rough. The markers are identified with numbers descending by 100s from 1000 to 100, so I lined them up in order and used them all.
Next, I added small drops of rubbing alcohol with a paint brush to blend the ink and add the dots. I really love how this turned out! It’s so great when I have an idea in my head and it actually works!!!
After the Vellum dried, I used an Adhesive Sheet to adhere the entire panel over Basic White Cardstock to add to my card.
I also used the Natural Tones markers to color the hands and the small strip of All Together Designer Series Paper on the left side on my slim-line card. To color the hands, I stamped the image on Basic White Cardstock with Memento ink and then used a photo of my sister’s hands to get an idea of the shading. If you’re new to Stampin’ Blends Markers, since they are alcohol based, you want to use them with a fade-resistant ink like Memento versus a water-based ink.
I cut my card to fit one of the new Slim-Line envelopes from the January-June Mini Catalog. I just love these new envelopes!!!
Every Act of Kindness Card:
For my next card, I just wanted to play with the new markers and have fun coloring all the hands. (The hands are from one of the sheets of All Together Designer Series Paper.) I again used photos to get an idea of the shading and just had a blast coloring away. Then, when I finished, I outlined the hands with both Polished Pink and Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends.
I hope these cards have inspired you to venture into this great collection of products and enjoy the new Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends Markers.
Have a wonderful and creative day.
